Causes of incontinence

Often, aging, childbirth, menopause, and obesity weaken the pelvic floor muscles, leading to insufficient support for the pelvic organs and causing urinary incontinence. Emsella treatments at iVee Restorative Care aim to empower you to regain control and improve your quality of life. Worldwide, over 200 million people deal with incontinence — are you one of them?

Consider these questions

  • When you cough, sneeze, or participate in sports, do you leak urine?
  • Do you often feel the urge to visit the bathroom?
  • Have you avoided intimate moments recently because you fear leakage?
If you find yourself answering “yes,” you might be dealing with urinary incontinence. Emsella is a pioneering device, often referred to as the kegel chair, the first specifically designed to treat both men and women with urinary incontinence and is FDA-approved. Attending one session at iVee Restorative Care equates to completing 12,000 Kegels.

What Emsella does

While our incontinence treatment does not directly repair pelvic organ prolapses, it effectively strengthens the pelvic floor muscles. This strengthening can help alleviate symptoms associated with prolapses, such as difficulties in emptying the bladder and recurrent UTIs. Additionally, by fortifying the pelvic floor, this treatment may delay the need for surgical intervention.

Who is NOT eligible for Emsella treatment?

Conditions that disqualify someone from Emsella treatment include:
  • Drug pumps
  • Metal implants
  • Implanted defibrillators or neurostimulators
  • Fever
  • Heart disorders
  • Pregnancy
  • Cardiac pacemakers
  • Pulmonary insufficiency
  • Malignant tumor
  • Electronic implants
  • Hemorrhagic conditions
  • Anticoagulation therapy
This treatment does not improve bladder or uterine prolapse. Men and women considering treatment for urinary incontinence should talk with their doctor about the potential benefits and risks of all available treatment options.

I was at my wit's end trying to get a good night's sleep! My body was waking me up 6-8 times nightly to visit the bathroom. I had tried prescription drugs, herbal formulations, lifestyle changes, physical therapy, 1000 kegals daily, and NOTHING was helping...and then I found IVee Restorative Care. The emsella chair that is built to strengthen the pelvic floor was the answer for me. 6 short visits solved my problem. After years of misery, I finally have hope that I can once again count on getting necessary, restorative sleep! Thank you IVee Restorative Care!

Tangi is the best! After 6 babies I needed pelvic floor therapy. The Emsella machine was the perfect option. The office is beautiful and Tangi is so kind, even helping make accommodations when I brought a kid with me. I'll be back for other services in the future.

Tangie is amazing, it’s like having one of your friends help you with your medical care. It is so easy to get in and see her at a moments notice. She is very knowledgeable and always listens to any concerns that I have. I have been to other medical spas that inflate their prices, NOT HERE she keeps her prices super reasonable. I like that she provides alternative health and regenerative options that you don’t find in doctor’s offices, like red light therapy. Her new office is Beautiful and comfortable. I recommend her to everyone I know!

The Emsella Chair is incredible and so is the owner Tangi! Non invasive and very helpful for incontinence! I recommend! Not only is the chair amazing, but the massage chairs and red light chamber are the best! The red light has helped significantly with the inflammation I’ve been having due to some painful hemorrhoids. They have gotten smaller because the inflammation has calmed down and the pain is continuing to lessen with each red light treatment. Tangi is the best and so is her business. So grateful for how it has enhanced my health!

Tangi at iVee restorative is amazing! She is very informative and helped me make all my decisions on my glp1 weightloss journey. It was quick easy and painless. Not to mention the cheapest around. She herself has lost weight with glp1 so she knows that weight loss can be very hard and a sensitive subject. She doesn't push the medication on you at all. She let's your body tell you how much is working for you. No automatic ups in dosage if it's not needed or wanted. But if upping the dose is needed she is very understanding. I've been on tirzepatide for almost 2 months and have already lost 10lbs. She also provides lots of other services you should Definitely give ivee restorative a chance. I bet it will be one of the best decision you've ever made.

How it works

Emsella employs High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to activate deep pelvic floor muscles and regain neuromuscular control. Each Emsella session induces thousands of supramaximal contractions in the pelvic floor muscles, critical for the muscle re-education of individuals with incontinence.

This process requires no effort from you and no need to undress. Scientific studies reveal that 95% of patients treated with Emsella have experienced a significant improvement in their quality of life.

What does recovery look like?

Emsella, offered by iVee Restorative Care, is an entirely non-invasive treatment with no downtime required. Patients remain fully clothed during the session. While you might feel intense contractions and tingling during the treatment, it is generally easy to tolerate.

After your session at iVee Restorative Care, you may notice some stiffness when rising from the chair and mild soreness the following day; however, these minor symptoms won’t interfere with your regular activities, and our team is here to guide you through any concerns during your recovery process.

When will you see results?

Most patients notice improvements after six sessions, typically scheduled twice a week at iVee Restorative Care. Depending on the severity of your condition, you might see progress after only a few sessions.

This treatment is most effective for grades 0-1 level of urinary incontinence. It’s common for some patients to experience a temporary worsening of symptoms before they start to see improvement. Depending on the severity of their condition, additional treatments may be necessary. Results can differ from person to person, making it challenging to predict exact outcomes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Emsella is the first FDA-approved device for treating urinary incontinence in men and women. Using High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology, the chair triggers thousands of deep pelvic floor contractions, re-educating weakened muscles so they can properly support your bladder and restore control.
Not at all. That’s one of the most appreciated parts of Emsella. You remain fully clothed throughout the session, simply sitting comfortably in the chair while it does all the work. Treatment is discreet and easy to fit into your day.
Emsella helps with leakage when you cough, sneeze, laugh, or exercise, as well as frequent, urgent trips to the bathroom. It’s most effective for milder incontinence. While it doesn’t directly repair pelvic organ prolapse, strengthening the pelvic floor can ease related symptoms and may delay the need for surgery.
Most patients complete six sessions, conveniently scheduled twice a week over about three weeks. Some notice progress after a few visits, while others with more severe symptoms may benefit from additional treatments. In clinical studies, 95% of patients treated with Emsella reported a significant improvement in their quality of life.
During treatment, you’ll feel strong contractions and tingling, which most patients find easy to tolerate. Afterward, you might notice some stiffness when rising from the chair or mild soreness the next day. Neither will interfere with your normal activities. A temporary uptick in symptoms before improvement begins is also common and expected.
Emsella is non-invasive and well-tolerated, but electromagnetic technology isn’t appropriate for everyone. You shouldn’t receive treatment if you’re pregnant or have a cardiac pacemaker, defibrillator, neurostimulator, drug pump, metal or electronic implants, heart disorders, a malignant tumor, bleeding conditions, or take anticoagulants. Your consultation includes a full review to confirm Emsella is safe for you.
